MPM were appointed by National Gas Transmission Plc to construct a new 12,800 ft2 gas pipe storage warehouse (CEME Building) and refurbish and over-clad the existing 1960’s two-storey concrete framed Administration building at their UK central distribution site at Ambergate, Derbyshire. The CEME Store works comprised of the new build steel portal framed storage warehouse with an overhead 15T gantry crane installed to transverse the entire length. The Administration building involved the replacement of the roof covering to the concrete roof, over cladding of the façade with a perforated mesh panel and additional insulation, new window installation, full strip out internally and replacement of the heating system with an air conditioned system, complete new electrical installation, and high quality Cat B office fit out. Works were carried out while the National Gas site remained fully operational.
