Calling all Client Side Consultant Project Managers with Leisure Experience!

Motion Projects are construction Project Managers & Employers Agent. We specialise in some of the most challenging projects within UK in the hospitality space. We focus on highly operational areas which include Entertainment Districts, Arenas, Music Venues & Theatres.

The Role

Our new Project Manager must be enthusiastic, quick to learn and will get the opportunity to work on a range of exciting projects. You will get the very best mentoring and will be supported by the best in the business! One key thing is you have some real experience working in Arenas, Theatres and large Leisure areas and working to the RIBA stages!

3+ years of consultancy construction project manager experience. You are a solid pair of hands but want to spread your wings & move to a company that will help to grow you to the next stage of your career.

You will assist the Associate Directors/Directors with helping clients achieve their vision, being responsible for leading and managing projects while ensuring they’re on time and within budget.

What we're looking for

• A great personality, we are a small team (10+ people) and we are building the very best team in the business! (in our opinion anyway)

• Problem solver – we get thrown problems every day, so the more you can solve the better!
• Construction experience is essential- an obvious one but necessary
• An interest in hospitality is a plus- we don’t mind whether its entertaining or being entertained!!

Key Responsibilities

• Being great with all levels of stakeholders & identifying their importance
• Resolving challenging issues & understanding project challenges
• Mapping project requirements, delivery timelines and costs
• Excellent time management skills
• Developing detailed project plans & business cases to guide clients through projects
• Assisting Tender for external suppliers to assist with design and concept, identifying and
assigning project tasks based on the skill sets, experience and strengths
• Monitoring complex project performance to ensure timely delivery, including complex project status reports to clients, management and all other relevant stakeholders
• Developing and maintaining excellent leadership and communication skills, effectively
building the relationship with the client and contractors at all times
• Manage all relevant budgets, monitoring expenditure and costs, advising the client and
internal stakeholders of any deviation
• Travel to client sites where applicable

Essential Requirements

• Understanding of RIBA Stages
• Detailed understanding of Project Management processes RICS/APM / CIOB
• A degree-level relevant qualification
• Highly organised and a forward thinker
• Detailed writer & reader
• Excellent grasp of the English language
• Competent with Microsoft Office suite
• Microsoft Project
